Our Mission

The Troy's People's Fund is an independent, progressive political action committee aimed at supporting candidates who are committed to achieving just and equitable social progress for Troy and its residents.

Our Vision

We envision a Troy, and larger Capital Region, with engaged, informed citizens active in stewarding their community collaboratively with compassionate, thoughtful leadership of electeds. Through urban development that equitably distributes resources to all residents our communities will be able to live, work, and play in secure, enjoyable environments. With secure, dignified housing for all, a thriving and diverse economy that serves the people, human-centered built environments, and leadership that reflects the voices of residents.

Our Values

  • In the manner we govern ourselves and in the outcomes of policy, we recognize power imbalances exist and seek to address them

  • We maintain our shared humanity and empathy & empowering all voices.

  • Solidarity is the key to social progress- that when we fight for us, not just me - our movement and community can achieve unity. Centering justice in our politics can unleash a tremendous amount of energy to transform our politics and forge a new future.


  • Power ultimately rests in the hands of the people and decision making should be community driven and conducted at a small scale as much as is practicable, particularly at the municipal level. 

  • Our politics is missing integrity and accountability to the community. Government should act in an open, scrutable and accountable manner.

  • Ensuring the stewardship of our local ecology and economies while meeting collective needs and preserving common wealth.
